Sydney - 2012 litter re-enters the show ring

We have not had Sydney in the show ring since the first of June. However, last weekend there were 4 show days at a local show so I entered Sydney for 2 days expecting she would be the only Vizsla.

We had a wonderful surprise that 2 Vs from Oklahoma were also entered! They had come with their handlers and a group of dogs to the Calgary shows last weekend and then continued to our area for this set of shows too.

Both Vizsla dogs were bred and are owned by Linda Durham from the Renaissance Vizsla kennel in Oklahoma. I have been very lucky to see some of her dogs at the Vizsla Club of America  National Specialties I have  attended. Linda has consistently bred outstanding Vizslas who have won top spots in the country many times. They are wonderful moving dogs with outstanding temperament; there two did not falter in any way  from her standards of excellence!

Am Gr. Ch. Renaissance Wild About Chocolate - Roca and female puppy Renaissance Skip Th' Light Fandango - Fanny,  were a thrill to meet and to watch. Their wonderful and friendly handlers were great additions to the show scene here.

I took some photos of the girls but will not post them unless I receive permission from Linda. Roca can be seen on the Renaissance Vizsla web page.

The Renaissance girls represent the American breed standard while our Sydney represents more of the Canadian aspects of the  Canadian Breed standard. We were showing to Canadian judges this past weekend and they both found the look they were familiar with in the breed win awarding Sydney and myself the breed win both days. We made the cut under the  Ontario judge also. Although Sydney has received several group placements under US judges too, she is a familiar style for Canadian judges to find.  We were able to add a couple of points each day to her Canadian Gr. Champion title.

It was a great weekend with Sydney and the wonderful Renaissance dogs and their handlers.

Fanny is just a junior puppy but her outstanding promise is already evident in the above photos.

Roca shows off very well why she has been so successful in the show ring right from her puppy days. She will continue to be a girl to watch!

Thank you breeder/owner Linda Durham  for letting me post these photos and thank you so much Tiffany for all your thoughts and kindness during the show and in stacking up the girls for me!
