I haven't had time to load any photos of the day but we are very happy to announce that Quinn, trained and handled by his owner Abe Suclin, attained a score of 110/112 and Prize 1 in his first field test!
He ran his NAVHDA Natural Ability test today in tough conditions with high temperatures and often no breeze to help these young pups locate the birds. The test scores him for his ability to search the field for birds, to locate birds with his nose, to point and hold on planted chukars, to work with his handler in a cooperative manner, to track a running pheasant and to swim, return to shore and swim again.
With a little slow start on the tracking that cost him 2 points, he then went on to find and follow the track and locate the bird with a stylish and sustained point. He was awarded full marks on all other aspects of his work today.
Thank you so much Abe for working with him and giving him this opportunity to show his stuff! He follows in the footsteps of his mother and his maternal grandmother who are also NAVHDA NA prize winners!

Congratulations from the Varazs Vizsla relatives!! What a thrill & everyone should be celebrating!!!
His owner and I was still feeling the thrill today - it was nice to see Quinn rewarded for his ability and Abe for his work with the pup.
