mixed bag

We are still trying to recover and find a new way of living in our home without our Jewel. Sydney, one of Jewel's 2012 daughters, is still not settled into the loss it seems. She certainly is not the active, happy go lucky girl we use to have. I am hoping we will someday see our Sydney at ease in the house without Jewel.

We have received many kind cards, emails and phone calls of support. We thank each person who took the time to check on us; it really helped to know we were not alone.

Thank you so much Sylvia Dorosh for making a donation in Jewel's name to the Pet animal research fund at Guelph University, college of Veterinary Medicine; such thoughfulness is so much appreciated.

We were also knocked down by the unexpected loss of our NAVHDA field training friend Jocelyn Maciborsky who passed away suddenly on October 31, 2014. Young, loving, smart and full of the spirit of life, it seems so hard and totally unfair that she should be taken from her family, friends and many animals who loved her dearly.

Flashback to spring 2004

The two Vizsla pups are Jewel and Maggie born Feb 14, 2004 in May 2004 with their sire Remmie and our Dalmatians Mocha Bean and Paladin. 

Remmie invites his daughter Jewel to play with the toy. He was so wonderful with his pups and with other dogs.

December 2013, all the pups from that litter are doing well. Jewel has become Ch. Blackbullet Varazs Legacy, NAVHDA NA, number one female Vizsla in 2005, and mother to 3 litters born 2007, 2009 and 20010.  All the adult dogs in the photos have passed on but are remembered and loved in our wonderful memories of these times. 

Finn is having lots of fun

Finn steals the bunny and Sydney is in hot pursuit. Bunny did not survive the day but the red kids had lots of fun.

We have had a lot of fun with Finn during his visit. He is a wonderful boy!

Peter - 2007 litter of Jewel X Hudson, comes to visit

Jewel on the left with her son  Peter from her 2007 litter. Peter is brother to Kati who delivered her litter in 2012. Peter is visiting us from his home in NW  USA for a few days. It has been several years since we saw him last but he immediately knew the routines,  the acreage, the house and us as if he were here yesterday. He is wonderful, lovely boy.  When we look at his head we immediately see the lovely eye and expression of his grandmother Amber.

Happy Birthday to You

In 2009, on this day our wonderful  Jewel (Ch. Blackbullet Varazs Legacy NAVHDA NA) gave birth to her second litter. The sire was Dezso ( Ch.Jaybren's Heart Desire CD, RN)
  Kyber, Horton, Astro, Jasper, Hugo, Vida, Jax and Marcipan..we love you so much. Happy 4th Birthday to you!

In 2012, on this day, our wonderful Kati ( Ch. Blackbullet Hudson's Touch NAVHDA NA) gave birth to her first litter. The sire was Charlie ( MBISS Dunantul"S Czardas of Tierah)
Quinn, Remi, Finn, JuJuB, Rogue, Angus, Blue, Teaka.. we love you so much - Happy 1st Birthday to you!

Both these breeding were to the  Vizsla line of Jaybren/Tierah...the only breedings into those lines we were able to do..and both were born on the same day 3 years apart..we could not plan that sort of thing!

Remi ( 2012 litter - Red collar) an Easter visitor

 Remi in person is  visiting us for a few days so we are having lots of fun in the  snow, mud and sun. He is a lovely boy, and so very smart.

 Jewel, born February 14, 2004. At 9 years old Jewel remains the heart of the our home.

Sam ( 2010 litter) visits

Sydney's litter brother Sam from our 2010 litter has come for a visit. We had not seen him for a while but  he remembered me immediately and greeted me with hugs. It felt so wonderful to have him in my arms again! Sam at just over 2 years of age carries almost everything I could ask for in a dog..lovely form, size, colour, personality, birdie aptitude,  biddable, smart,  and so loving.
