Rex

CJ and Rex 1997. CJ 7 years old and Rex 5 months old

Rex  1997 late fall.

CJ and Rex. Rex 3 months old

Diva and Rex 1997. Diva was from our 1995 litter of Dalmatians.  Is it any wonder that at the dogs shows Rex would become very excited when he saw a Dalmatian but could not care less about other Vizslas; he was convinced he was a Dalmatian!

Sofie from Rex's only litter.  We were allowed to show her to her championship by her breeder/owner. Ch. Sofia Rose of Valley Ridge.  She was a lovely girl. She is also featured on Sylvia's website at   http://www.varazs.org/rex's_get.htm

Jasper from Rex's only litter. He was 11 years of age in this photo. He was the pick of litter but his owners would not allow him to be shown.  Below he is pictured with one of the children in his family.

CJ's last litter - 1995

CJ and I resting at a dog show hotel 1994.

Aug 15, 1995 CJ delivered her last litter. There were 8 boys and 3 girls, 4 with black spots and 7 with liver spots. Both parents were black and white.

Shortly after their birth several pups came down with  Campylobacter that I brought home from the clinic at UofS. This meant we have to separate all the pups from CJ and hand feed them  every 4 hours day and night. It was a terrible time but we kept each puppy alive and they lived long and wonderful lives.

Wes one sleepy morning getting Dalmatian loves in the basement of our Saskatoon house!

This litter was one of our most titled litters.  We had 6 champions, 2 group first winners and an Award of Merit winner at our first Dalmatian National Specialty. Diva from this litter became the number one female Dalmatian in Canada.

Billie at the back, Paladin on the left and Oreo on the right.

Diva, multi group winning dog.

Mattie also  a group winner.

A trip to the fire station in Saskatoon with some of our 1995 litter and their owners.

Diva, her first specialty award..Judge's Award of Merit, handled by me. Diva would not stand still by the time pictures were taken so Wes stepped in and got it done.

CJ's second litter, 1994

This is Keira, Blackbullet's Annie Oakley the female pup from the litter

CJ's second litter was just two puppies. They were very cute and fat.
One was black spotted female and the other was a liver spotted male.  We had to keep CJ out of the whelping box for part of each day as they would just drink, drink, drink if she was with them.

This is Maverick, Blackbullet's Maverick,  the male puppy from the litter. The solid brown spot on his head meant he could not be shown. He was a lovely boy.

At a show, CJ is on the left and Keira is on the right. Keira was too heavily marked for showing but her owners often came to shows to cheer us on and visit.

This litter was the first to carry our CKC registered kennel name of Blackbullet.
