Sam the Man from our 2010 litter is just a card and a real sweetheart..and he apparently knows how to lay back and relax and snore!

Sam's family is trying to get back from  holidays but so far have only been in airports along the way. To help them in their frustration, here are some photos of their Sam that I took today.

Locating some scent with sister Sydney...a busy  day at the Vizsla Ranch..while his family deal with transport issues. We love having Sam with us but we know he family misses  him a lot.  I am sure we will soon have the famiy reunited.

Sam from our Dec 15, 2010 litter.  I find that, like his Grandmpa Remmie, his true beauty and form does not transfer well into photographs.


I will call it my lack of camera skills although even so called professional photos of Remmie always lacked what the naked eye could see in him.

 The soft, loving depth of his soul is seen above in his eyes.

Sam and Sydney have their OFA x-rays done

While Sam is with us, I took him and Sydney to have their OFA hip and elbow x-rays done.

They turned 2 years of age in December. Their x-ray results cannot be ceritified until they are 2 years of age.

They were very good at their appointments and as always my vet was great with them.  Their joints looked good on x-ray but we will wait for  the ratings from the OFA x-ray specialists to know for sure. Thank you Sam's owners for getting them done now. Sam and Sydney are the second and third pups from their litter to have them done. Sophie was the first and her results were OFA hip scored Good and her elbows were scored normal. Sophie is ready to run, play and jump without fear her hip and elbow joints are not correctly fashioned to support her muscle development and activities.

We require that all our pups be OFA x-rayed and scored after they are 2 years of age and by the time they are 30 months of age. 

Results for Sam and Sdyney will be posted here when we receive them. All scores can be seen on the OFFA website also when they are available.

'Thank you so much' goes to professional photographer Barna Tanko of Calgary Alberta for taking and providing these photos of my 3 - 8 month old Vizslas who ran their NAVHDA Natural Ability tests in August 2011. Barna is also one of the owners of the sire to the litter, Blaze, pictured below on the right with his son Sam.

Barna spent 2 full days walking the fields taking photos of all the dogs running their test.
