Kaiser moved to Ontario several years ago but it seems we may get to see him and his family this summer!  Thank you owners for sharing this great time in the spring snow.

Lovely Kaiser lives in Ontario now but for the first years of his life we were able to see him often. He is a wonderful boy and so much the third child in his active, loving  family.  Thank you so much owners for sending the photos and update on Kaiser!

Other summer fun

While Kaiser (2007) explored the woods and water with his family in the woodlands of Ontario, Maggie (2004) hiked across the sand dunes and sand crossings fromVancouver Island.

• We are thrilled to hear Kaiser's (2007 litter) results from his hip and elbow xrays for the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals came back as hips Good and elbows Normal! He is the 7th pup in the litter to be done. Thank you so much owners!
• Our 2009 litter continues to thrive and Jewel is an amazing mother.
• Amy (2004 litter ) and Seth (2005 litter) are both reported to be doing very well. There is a chance we will get to see them this fall.

More OFA results for 2007 litter

We have received the OFA hip score of GOOD and an elbow score of NORMAL on Kati (Ch. Blackbullet Hudson's Touch NAVHDA NA) from our 2007 litter! Kati will soon also have her first eye and thyroid tests done this year.

Thank you so much owners for having this done. We are thrilled with the results of course and thank those who have bred the dogs that have formed her pedigree for working to select dogs who carried the genes to make these results possible.

Pictured on the left Kati tells her brother Kaiser that she owns the sofa while their mother Jewel lays along the back of the sofa and takes in the outside view. Kati and Kaiser were both able to visit at the same time so we were very lucky as Kaiser has since moved to Ottawa.

Other news:

• Zsofi ( 2007 litter) is reported to be having a great summer with her Vizsla uncle Chester (2004 litter) and carrying on her mother's tradition of making sure the best cuddle spots are hers!

Jasmine (2007 litter) is going to holiday with her family in the Kelowna area this year. We hope she can get together with her litter mate Fred while they are there for a good Vizsla play time.

Jewel is really increasing in size and shape quickly. It could be due to a large litter or due to this being her second litter. We have started feeding her puppy food to increase her caloric intake and benefit from the different balance of nutrients in the puppy food. She seems pleased with this food now if she waits for breakfast until about noon when her stomach has settled a bit. We seem to be past the worst of the nausea and regurgitation she was experiencing up to this week.

I am working with the several of the owners and breeders of many of the dogs in the pedigree of Jewel's expected litter to up date and complete a 6 generation pedigree to keep us current on those dog's accomplishments and also to be made available to our puppy owners. We are also putting the finishing touches on the whelping room as it changes from office to delivery and litter room. I am making crate pads for small crates in anticipation of their 'going home' packages while I have the time.

May 2009

• We received news that Kati ( 2007 litter) has had her hips and elbows xrayed for OFA ratings. Thank you so much owners! We look forward to hearing her scorings.

Kaiser's owner Carey took his leash for her first venture into the show ring..and came away with Best of Breed! Way to go! Kaiser is a great dog to show as he likes the shows, is patient and is such a handsome Vizsla. Congratulations to both of you and thank you so much to Kaiser's owners for all their hard work in preparing for and getting Kaiser to the show! Sylvia Dorosh showed him to two BB over 'specials' last time he was shown in the fall so he is continuing his winning ways.

We have welcomed home our wonderful Jewel from her travels to Washington state and now wait for her ultra sound to confirm her pregnancy.

We received great news that Chance (2007 litter) was pronounced very fit and healthy at his annual vet check.

Kaiser (2007 litter) will soon be re-entering the show ring. His owners are going to step into the ring for their first show experience! We hope they have a great time.
Below Kaiser enjoyed the fireplace and his bed. We sure miss him since he moved to Ontario!

May 3 - Rufous (2007 litter) went home. We hope to see him again in the fall. He had a very successful ring win of 3 points and a great day in the field at NAVHDA training day. We were so happy to share those times with him!

Wishing our wonderful daughter Dr. Tasha Nicholle Sims a very, very Happy Birthday! We are so blessed to have her as part of our family and we treasure each day we share.

April 2009

• Jewel finally went into heat and so we were headed to Washington state for her to be bred.
• April 21 A very Happy Birthday to each of our pups from our 2005 litter! Each one is so dear to us. Vegas celebrated with birthday cake and a balloon and of course lots of attention from friends and helped her owner by digging up the newly planted veggie garden!
• April 18 - First NAVHDA training day for the year. What a thrill to have our Rufous (2007 litter) and Blaze (Varazs Vizslas) and Denny ( Kizmar Vizslas) in the field.
• April 4 - Rufous (2007 litter) was brought by his owners to the the Red Deer dog show and had a great Saturday in the ring taking the breed for 3 points towards his championship. Blaze, bred by Sylvia Dorosh also had a good show day reflecting all the training from his owners!
