Teaka from our 2012 litter

When Teaka's family contacted us about consideration for a puppy from our 2012 litter of course we had to consider how their Weimer may respond to another dog and a younger dog and a Vizsla dog..

While their owner reports Niko at times has trouble keeping up to Teaka's energy level, he has become her protector, big brother and they have many great times together.

Teaka is preparing for her OFA hip score x-rays. It looks like she should be able to be relaxed and have a good x-ray taken. It makes a big difference in how quickly the x-rays can be done we have found if the dogs get use to laying on their backs and relax while their back legs are touched. With that training, the overall experience is not difficult for them.

Teaka has a wonderful family! We thank them for sharing theses photos with us!

She shares her home with her Weimer 

'Niko', (who was there first) friend although I am not sure he is convinced she is really welcome some days!

I love the look in her eyes!

Her owners report  that she is loving, with a  sweet nature, affectionate, very smart and full of energy.  They love that she gets along so well with other breeds of dogs too.  'You picked the perfect puppy for us!  

We are so lucky we had such great applicants to be able to make great matches of pups to owners.

Vizsla get together

 6 Vizslas gathered  at an off leash park this weekend. 5 are Blackbullet vizslas.  From left to right is Finn (2012 litter male), Blue (2012 litter male), Sam (2010 litter male ) Cayo (  2012 male  not our litter) Angus (2012 litter male) and Teaka ( 2012 litter female).

Cayo, standing sideways is a week older than our 2012 litter and was bred by Dean Orosz.  It is his brother Zoro who is available for placement now.  Please check the next posting on this blog for  more information.

Pup's Birthday party at Finn's house

 Finn's owners organized a great birthday party for 5 V pups to celebrate their first Birthday...with cake and treats and play time..Thank you so much to the owners for the great photos.

First the pups had an off leash run and then they all met at Finn's house for their party!

Teaka (orange) and Blue (blue wave) 2012 litter

Teaka  went to stay at Blue's house while her family was away. Blue's family report they played hard and will likely miss each other a lot when Teaka goes home.  Two pups of the same age can be a handful but it seems it worked well. We are so thankful to Blue's owners for  enabling them to do this and for taking and sending the photos of these two pups!

Blue on the left and Teaka on the right got together today for a play date. Both pups are almost 7 months old. They are from our July 2012 litter...love those heads!!
