Remi from our 2012 litter has a new sister named Missy. Remi is learning to be a good big brother and enjoying this wonderful addition to his family.

Remi turned 2 years of age on July 05. He celebrated with a lovely birthday cookie!

Blue, who also turned 2 years of age on July 05,  found a friend who offered him a drink on a hot day.

 

Blue loves to wade into the water to retrieve his sticks. His owners hope to get him  to swim this weekend.

The weather  has finally warmed up enough for great outside play time for Remi, Jewel and Sydney.

Chance, Remi, Sydney,

Chance ( 2007 litter) in both photos above,  is enjoying the southern climate for a while with his family. It will be a great break from the winter on N. Vancouver Island . Thank you owners for thinking of sharing these photos with us!

 Remi ( 2012 litter) has come to visit for a while. He is not keen on the very cold weather we have been having but with the expected warming trend, he should get to run around outside soon. 

Inside activities include body slamming with Sydney, barking at ghosts, racing through the kitchen and getting lots of cuddle time with Grandma breeder. Doggie Grandma Jewel is not too sure that she needs these two playing in her area!

The action is too quick to catch when Remi and Sydney start to play!  Remi is visiting with us for a couple of weeks. He and Sydney are really enjoying each other although there is still some discussion over who gets to stand closest to me or sit closest to me. Sydney seems to realize Remi needs my comfort and is getting pretty good at waiting her turn now.

Remi has come for a visit. On his first night with us again, he stood and looked at Sydney on the left and Jewel under the blanket on the right and understood the answer to the question 'How can I get close to my Grandma?'.. And this was his solution! What a great puppy hug! 

It looks like a winter photo in mid August  because Jewel and I were feeling the coolish breeze while the others in the room seemed to be warm..

Remi comes to visit

Remi, at almost a year of age, is really looking great.  He is a very lovely and loving boy. He loves to kiss..just like his mother Kati!

Remi is having lots of fun but he is missing his favourite playmate Sydney on his current visit as Sydney is in heat. His grandmother Jewel is teaching him a few tricks and I hope to get some non rain moments to get some photos of them too.

Recent news

The first weekend in June, Sydney and Quinn attended 3 days of dogs shows in Edmonton. The weather was a challenge one day but the others were not too bad. Quinn is really getting the hang of this show business and is having moments when he looks stunning. He is maturing slowly but those flashes show what his is going to soon be showing us. Those shows  finished off his shows as a puppy.
Sydney made the cut  to 6 in the group on Saturday and was awarded a Group 4th placement on Monday.  Pictures  of both dogs on the move inside the ring and  of Sydney on the podium are on their way. Both were owner handled all the way.

Kati, mother to our 2012 litter, was spayed and had an extensive  dental last week. She is recovering well but of course is not enjoying her confinement.

Sydney is in heat so I am glad we are getting that out of the way before the next group of shows.

Remi is coming to visit for a few days so things will be a bit busy with managing the boys and girls.

Jasmine was suppose to come at the end of May but since I have been fighting several levels of ill  health, it was great that a neighbour of her owners were able to take her into their  home. We miss her and hope she can come again soon.

The lawns and trees are getting wild with all the rain and no time to trim anything..it feels like a jungle!

Remi - at 9 months of age, April 9 2013

When Remi's family came to pick  him up, he took some time to show them his favourite spot to catch some April sun rays. One of his owners took these photos and sent them to us.  Remi is just such a loving, trusting, beautiful boy, it was hard to say good bye for now but we know he has an wonderful home and that we will get a chance to have him visit again.
