From Kenya
When my daughter and her boy friend went to Kenya last year she brought me back this lovely cloth called a Kanga. Recently we backed, framed and hung it in our dining room. It is a beautiful cloth that would be used there for everything from a shade cover, a blanket, a shawl like wrap, a skirt or to carry a baby or produce or family belongings.
I am working on the translation of the words on it - Kila Jambo Jema Hwjoka Kwa Mungu. Thank you to Abe who has provided a translation that seems possible...ALL THINGS GOOD, EVERYTHING TO GOD.
