This morning one of our Vizslas indicated something 'new' and very interesting in a tree outside one of the windows. Sure enough, a ruffed grouse in the tree taking the berries about 15 feet off the ground. We don't see many game birds in this area so it is great to see this one. Sydney was confused as to why she could see it but could not smell it..she kept moving around trying to pick up the scent but the window of course made that impossible. She did point it eventually choosing to believe her eyes and not worry about lack of scent I guess.
