Owners of Blackbullet dogs....PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO PUT A TATTOO ON YOUR DOG
Your dog is tattooed. Any other tattoo will decrease the chance that the registered tattoo will be seen and followed up to help locate you as the dog's owners should it become lost.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact us.
Vet applied clinic developed tattoo numbers ARE NOT registered anywhere outside the vet clinic and cannot be tracked to you as the owner unless someone happened to call that vet. Of the thousands of vets in the country, the chances that someone would call that particular vet trying to find the owner of a lost dog are very low. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO PUT THAT TATTOO ON YOUR DOG.
Please note that each dog from Blackbullet is tattooed with its CKC registered tattoo before it leaves our home. This tattoo number is also on your dog's registration papers. That is the law and we abide by it.
The CKC tattoo series and code means the dog can be traced through the CKC recovery program by anyone who sees that tattoo on the dog and contacts CKC recovery. Our name and contact information remains attached to that CKC registered tattoo. When the dog's registration is transferred to an owner, their contact information is added but we also remain as contacts.
The CKC tattoo series is recognized by those in dog pounds, SPCA's, rescue organizations etc across Canada and in some areas of the US as a CKC registered tattoo
that can be tracked to you as the owner of the dog.
Please do not add any other tattoo to your dog!
